But… I never miss an opportunity to photograph places and spaces. Unfortunately a lot of our adventures involved water, (I say “unfortunately” but I loved them all, so…) and I wasn’t able to bring my cameras and lenses on many of them; you’ll have to rely on our iPhone photos as proof of each of them.
The trip began at Miami Intl. airport, where I met up with the rest of the crew, and we all landed at the airport in Puerto Plata at around 3PM. We spent five nights at a VRBO and had a slew of activities to keep us busy; a 12-course waterfall jump and hike, a nature safari, a drive and boat trip to Paradise Island for snorkeling, and we watched the lunar eclipse from our beautiful outdoor patio.
Then, it was on to Santo Domingo and Punta Cana! This was a different situation entirely. We stayed at an all-inclusive resort with five restaurants, two buffets, the beach at our toes, and three different pools. Paradise, indeed! We also had the opportunity to zip-line and lie on the beach… like, a lot. My favorite part was that ne’er was there an argument or any sort of cattiness between us all: seven women, and we all respected and loved one another. That’s my kind of girls trip!
Personally, I’d like to make this an annual thing, or at least try for every two years if possible. I made five new great friends and I am so thrilled with my cousin’s ability to put together a trip which I will forever remember as fun, challenging, and growth-inspiring.
I am available for exterior and interior photo sessions with real estate brokers/agents, stylists, and businesses; in fact it is one of my specialties. Contact me for more information and pricing.
